It has higher nickel content than the Ni 200 alloy. It can contain other elements in the composition such as sulfur, carbon, copper, silicon, manganese, and iron but nickel is over 99% of the composition. The lower carbon content present in Nickel N02201 Polish Plate aids in the prevention of embrittlement, which could be caused by inter-granular carbon on exposure to elevated temperatures. Designated as the Ni 2.4068, the alloy is used mostly in chemical and petrochemical industries. There are different standards, schedules, and pressure classes of the Alloy 2.4068 material to make sure that the correct combinations of the properties are selected in any given product. Ni 201 Alloy Cold Rolled Plate has good resistance to corrosion to both acids as well as to alkalis and is found to be most useful under reducing conditions. The material used to produce Pure 201 Nickel Hot Rolled Plate shows good resistance, in salt solutions that are not only acidic or alkaline in nature but also in those salt solutions which are neutral. The Pure Nickel 201 Sheet can also be used in the chlorination of aliphatic hydrocarbons such as methane, benzene, or ethane. Other metals in contact with Nickel 201 Perforated Coils, particularly in a damp or acidic environment, may suffer galvanic corrosion even though the stainless metal may be unaffected. These Alloy 201 Sheets are generally highly resistant to attack from acids, but this quality depends on the kind and concentration of the acid, the surrounding temperature, and the type of steel.
