What is SMO 254 Tube?

SMO 254 Tube is a super austenitic stainless steel tube manufactured from UNS S31254, containing approximately 20% chromium, 18% nickel, and 6% molybdenum with added nitrogen. This alloy is specifically developed for excellent corrosion resistance in seawater, chloride-rich, and acidic environments.

Compared to standard 316L stainless steel, SMO 254 provides significantly higher resistance against localized corrosion while maintaining excellent weldability, strength, and long service life.
